Day Four of the Twelve days of Yule: Meet the Tomten, these are benevolent Swedish #gnomes. Tomte means “homestead man”. These #feyfolk are the spirit of the home and offer protection and company during the long winter months.

To say thank you, on Christmas Eve it is tradition to gift them their favourite food, which is porridge with butter on top.

Day Three: Twelve Days of Yule:

From dusk on the 22nd December, we move into the third day of Yule. Today we would historically rest after celebrating the Winter Soltice. While resting it was a chance to plan ahead. Histcailly our ancestors would have made it halfway through the cold Winter months but they still had a few more months to go before reaching the Spring Equinox. Therefore the theme today is 'Courage'.

Today is a time for you to consider when you have been courageous in the past and prepare for the times you might need to be courageous in the future (when striving for your dreams).
